The Academic Year on our Full-Time Football & Education Programme has officially come to an end, with the 2019-20 season providing many highlights for our Full-Time Scholars.

Full-Time Scholars have made impressive strides on and off the pitch, and have displayed great commitment, especially under the testing circumstances of the past three months.

Throughout the year, Career Events, USA Scholarship Opportunities, and Higher Education Advise has been provided for scholars, with a large proportion of our Graduating 2nd Years progressing onto our HND Programme, in partnership with Heart of Worcestershire College. There, they will study University Level qualifications, alongside a Full-Time Football Programme at the club, with opportunities to play in the U19’s National League Alliance, as well as be part of the Professional Development Programme.

On the football side of the programme, tremendous progress has been made too, with various First Team Opportunities being earned. Notable mentions go to Owusu ‘Ciccio’ Acheampong and Liam Harding who made their First Team debut, as well as Academy Captain Owen Hill and Mohamed Konteh who were both named in numerous match day squads.

As well as First Team opportunities, many 2nd Year scholars were given the opportunity to trial at local MFL Clubs, with Jamal Lewis eventually being signed loan by Continental Star after impressing whilst on trial.

Another successful year completed on the Full-Time Football & Education Programme, and with the confirmation of our entry into the U19’s National League Alliance and the creation of the Professional Development Programme, the 2020-21 season is set to be the most exciting yet!
