The Redditch United Football Academy have today been confirmed AoC League Champions and this years squad join an ever growing group who have collected trophies in the Clubs Academy over recent seasons.

The side dominated the League with an emphatic goal difference seeing them finish the year on top however, there has been a delay in confirmation with other teams having a back log off fixtures due to a wet winter.

Upon confirmation Academy Manager Ian Weaving said; “this has ben a long time coming as the team have been so strong in this League. It’s a shame we have had to wait for this confirmation and couldn’t claim the title on the pitch but its also good that we didn’t have fixtures fall to the weather thanks to the new 3G surface at The Trico Stadium. Clearly our Academy players have excelled at this level but we have a much tougher season next year as the Academy will enter teams in the Floodlit League and MFL Reserve League.

The side will now look ahead with another round of trials on June 12th before the Academy kick off pre-season on July 23rd. New 1st Team Manager Paul Davis has already demonstrated his intent for the youngsters, as he will be inviting around 10 players to 1st Team preseason this year.
