Bradley Clayton is a fine example of the proven player pathway on offer at Redditch United Football & Education Academy.

After spending 2 years on the Full Time Football & Education Programme, Clayton graduated from the College-Level education, to progress on the University-Level HND Programme, which is ran in partnership with Heart of Worcestershire College.

As well as this, Clayton was a crucial member of the Academy class of 2018, who finished their season undefeated and League Champions. After this impressive season, he then made the next step, making his debut for Redditch United Reserves and again becoming a vital cog in the side.

Clayton concluded his 2018-19 season with the Reserves in red hot form, using his tireless work-rate, relentless aggression and frightening speed to cause nightmares for the opposition.

The 19-20 season began in similar fashion for the 19 year old, leading to a call-up to the First Team, and debuting last weekend vs Peterborough Sports.

Clayton was amongst 5 Academy Scholars to make their First Team debut last weekend, and with more expected over the coming weeks, the club’s desire to development their own First Team players from within is on display, as well as the proven platform the Academy provides to elevate players to First Team level.

Here at Redditch United Football & Education Academy, scholars train full-time alongside representing Redditch United at Academy level in the ECFA Leagues, as well as at Reserves level in the Midland Football League Division 4. Not just this, scholars also receive full-time education, studying Level 3 Sport, all based at The TRICO Stadium. Our exciting programme also offers progression on the education side too, offering University-Level education in the form of a Higher National Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science, in partnership with Heart of Worcestershire College.

Academy scholars also have the opportunity to gain FA Coaching and Officiating Qualifications, as well as multiple job opportunities at Redditch United, providing our scholars with various exit pathways to begin their career in sport, whether that be on the pitch, via university, or working within a sporting environment.

We are now recruiting for September 2020.
