The Reds Reserves ended their season with an entertaining 2-2 draw vs Fairfield Villa, after goals from Randane Larmond and Brad Clayton ended the season on a positive note.

The Reds welcomed local rivals Fairfield Villa Reserves to the TRICO Stadium, determined to end on a high note. Despite this, they got off to the worst possible start, going 1-0 behind within 8 minutes.

With The Reds seemingly crawling into half time a goal behind, Ciccio Acheampong dribbled the ball into the box and was eventually brought down, winning a penalty. Randane Larmond stepped up to the spot and fired the ball into the bottom corner, sending the Reds into half time with a vital late goal.

The Reds came out the changing rooms with a spring in their step, and were rewarded for their up turn in performance in the 53rd minute, with in-form Brad Clayton beating two defenders before composing himself to bury the ball into the bottom corner.

The lead was short lived however, with Fairfield Villa equalising minutes later.

Despite late drama, the Reds were unable to secure the three points. A positive result however, with both sides putting an entertaining spectacle on and pushing for the victory.

With the season now coming to an end, the Reds can reflect on a good year, with 6 players signing for Redditch United First Team and a lot of development from all players.

Roll on next season!
