The U18’s were unable to end their season on a high, losing 2-1 away from home against Pegasus Juniors.

The Reds took the lead early on, through Mo Konteh. Despite the early goal however, the Reds were unable to push on and add to their lead.

With the Reds stuck in second gear still, the home side took advantage and equalised moments before half time, leaving the Reds determined to put on a better show in the second half.

The Reds started the game positively, taking better care of the ball and asserting their ability on the game.

Despite the much improved performance, Pegasus took the lead in the 75th minute, and with the Reds unable to hit back despite their best efforts, the game finished 2-1.

Despite the result, it brings an end to a positive first season in the MFYL for RUFC Academy, who have kicked on under Josh Wright, who took over just before the turn of the year.

We look forward to welcoming a new crop of U18’s to RUFC Academy over the next few months, through our Full Time Education Course.
