RUFC Academy are delighted to announce the signing of Owusu Acheampong, Moises Dominguez, Randane Larmond, Callum Hall, and Reserves Captain Jordan Ganderton to the First Team!

The academy stars have shon so far this season, and have all been training with the First Team as part of the link between the Reserves and First Team. With the chance to train along side high quality players, the exciting prospects have improved leaps and bounds, and clearly displayed enough to earn themselves First Team recognition.

Electric Forward, Owusu ‘Ciccio’ Acheampong, 17, has lit up the Academy since joining this summer, being a crucial part of the U18’s Floodlit side, as well as the Reds’ Reserves Team. With his lightning pace, frightening dribbling and clinical finishing, the 17 year old has caused nightmares for defences all season and has more than deserved the opportunity to show his skills at a higher level.

The Versatile Moises Dominguez, 18, has been a vital part of the U18’s as well as the Reserves, consistently putting in excellent performances from Left Back, as well as Centre Midfield. With an excellent engine and unmatched determination topped off with Spanish flair and technique, the Academy 2nd year will surely thrive within the First Team set up.

Towering Striker, Randane Larmond, 22, is the next off the production line within the Academy. Recently joining up with the Reserves side, Larmond has impressed with his dominance in the air, strong hold up play and eye for goal. With his strong physical presence, he has all the tools to hold his own at First Team Level.

Callum Hall, 17, will also be joining the First Team. The ball playing defender has shown superb confidence on the ball in the back line, regularly breaking lines by bringing the ball out, or picking out passes through the eye of a needle. The U18 Vice Captain and Reserves Team regular also possesses a dangerous giant throw in, which could be a major asset to the First Team.

Last but not least, Reserves Team Captain Jordan Ganderton, 19, will also being joining the first team ranks. In his 3rd year at RUFC Academy, the centre midfielder or defender has been a model academy player, displaying unquestionable dedication and excellent leadership. Ganderton has the complete array of skills to succeed at a higher level, with his impressive composure on the ball, strong and committed tackling, and supreme leap which makes him an asset defensively and offensively. 


With these five talents signing to the First Team, they join Mo Konteh in this years academy graduates. With the pathway from Academy to First Team being more evident than ever before, the young talent at the Academy will be hungrier than ever to be the next one to step up.
