The U18’s returned to Friday night football under the lights at the Trico Stadium, hosting Bromyard Town, looking to continue their upturn in form.

The game started perfectly for the Reds, with Owusu profiting from a giant Callum Hall throw in, in the 2nd minute, by firing home powerfully to put the reds into the lead. 1-0.

The Reds and Owusu continued their dominance, with the latter terrorising the opposition with lightening pace and terrifying dribbling. Owusu was rewarded for his dominance in the 32nd minute, after his thunderous strike flew into the bottom corner to make it 2-0! Half time shortly followed, with the Reds looking to improve on their first half performance and assert their dominance in the 2nd half!

The Reds flew straight out the blocks in the beginning of the 2nd half, with a quality delivery from Liam Harding which caused havoc in the opponents 6 yard area in the 56th minute and Jamie Power showing his striker’s instinct by tapping home from close range. 3-0!

The goals did not stop coming from the Reds, with Mo Konteh getting in on the act in the 64th minute, and yet again in the 72nd minute after rounding the goalkeeper expertly to bag a quick fire brace. 5-0!

However, the Reds’ stampede was dampened, in the 74th minute, when the visitors grabbed a consolation goal to blow the U18’s dreams of a clean sheet out the water. 5-1.

The Reds replied almost instantly though, in the 82nd minute, when Mo Konteh fired home after a superb run and powerful finish to grab his 3rd to complete his hat trick! A magnificent 2nd half display from Konteh, grabbing his hat trick in a rapid 18 minutes! 6-1!

The full time whistle blew, with the scoring ending 6-1, bringing an end to a superb performance from the Reds, who extend their unbeaten run to 3 games, and continue to display excellent performances in recent weeks. The U18’s will be back in action immediately, taking on league leaders Slimbridge on Tuesday Evening!
